We’re beyond stoked to have you. Think of this place as your beachy home-away-from-home… just with better sunsets and more raccoons (Don’t worry, more on that later).
Before you kick off your flip-flops and dive into relaxation mode, here are a few fun house rules to help keep this little slice of paradise, well… paradisiacal.
🌴 Mi casa es su casa.
Enjoy it, love it, lounge hard — but please treat it like your own. The vibe is barefoot luxury, not frat party fallout.
🔒 Lock it down like Fort Knox.
Leaving? Make sure all doors, windows, and the gate are locked. Not just for security — it keeps out raccoons, wild breezes, and bad juju.
❄️ AC + Open Windows = Tropical Disaster
If the AC is on, the windows shouldn’t be. Let’s not air-condition the whole jungle, yeah?
💡 Channel your inner eco-ninja.
If it’s not in use (lights, TV, AC), flick it off. Save energy. Save the planet. Be a hero.
🍸 Glass by the pool? Big no-no.
This is a barefoot zone — and nobody wants an emergency toe surgery. Please use plastic or metal. Non-negotiable.
🚽 Toilet talk.
Only TP and #1/#2 in the bowl. Everything else goes in the bin. Playa Grande runs on septic, and she’s a sensitive lady.
🚿 Sandy feet stay outside.
We’ve got outdoor showers — use ’em. Your future self will thank you (and so will our floors).
💧 Water = Liquid Gold
Casa Acqua has 2 x 2000L water tanks, but water in Guanacaste is precious. Please go easy, especially in the dry season.
🦝 Raccoons are clever little burglars.
Do NOT leave food outside unless you’re filming a wildlife documentary. And take all trash to the main bin by the gate.
🧼 Countertops are divas.
Wipe them down after use. They stain faster than white linen in a red wine fight.
🏄♂️ Surfboards = Eye Candy Only
Look, don’t touch. They’re for decoration. Not for the waves.
